Premier Insight

Premier Insight functions as the e-newsletter of Premier Members Federal Credit Union. The owners had expressed interest in creating something to reach out to their members—they needed sharp writing and smart design, so they approached AOR, Inc. (my current place of employment) to design something for that.

Concepting

A fault with most e-newsletters is that content can be hard to get to as time progresses—convoluted search functions, excessive ad space, and other issues drive viewers away. We started from the ground up in terms of concepting, to ensure that the content was one click away at any given time.

The result then was an "accordion" effect: the home page has a specified tag for it, and at all times excerpts are viewable. Without so much as loading another page when the user clicks the title of an article, the entire content of the article elegantly expands downwards. After reading, viewers are free to click the "Comments" button to be taken to a separate design for the article with elegant comment marks.

Execution

This design, then, embodies the "by the people, for the people" element of credit unions; from the simple design to the open forum for discussion and ease of use of WordPress, the entire design shines.
